Thierry Mugler A*Men Pure Malt EDT. Discontinued in 2016. A limited edition from a legendary flanker line that Mugler quietly killed off while the fragrance community was still obsessing over it. No announcement. No farewell. Just gone.

Pure Malt opens like nothing else in the A*Men line. Where the original is all tar and coffee, Pure Malt goes somewhere warmer and more dangerous. Single malt scotch whiskey accord. Vanilla. Patchouli. Caramel. The whole thing feels like a dark, candlelit bar at 2am ā sophisticated, a little smoky, completely addictive.
The fragrance community never forgot it. Reddit threads asking "where can I still find Pure Malt?" get replies years after they were posted. eBay listings for a 100ml bottle regularly hit $250-$350+ If you can find one.
And samples? Almost impossible. The big decant shops that show up in search? Check their listings. Out of stock. Most of them have been out of stock for a long time.
